All-new 2008 Chevy Malibu unmasked at North American International Auto Show

Chevrolet utilized the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit to display the 2008 Chevy Malibu sedan, a vehicle that shows off ?the new face of Chevrolet.? Compared with the last generation this Malibu is indeed updated, from the two-port front grille to the shortened overhangs to the ?twin round? taillights. Front fog lamps and LED rear lamps distinguish upscale LTZ Malibu models. Opting for the 252-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 adds chrome dual exhaust tips.

In addition to the available V6, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine good for 164 horsepower arrives standard. Both motors are backed by six-speed automatic transmissions, an unusual specification for a four-cylinder powerplant. Standard equipment includes front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, front and rear head curtain airbags, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, tire pressure monitoring and traction control. StabiliTrak vehicle stability controls arrives on LT and LTZ models.

The all-new 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe full-size SUV has earned a ?Most Reliable? distinction by Consumer Reports in the Large SUV segment. Based on an all-new General Motors platform, the Tahoe scored above average in terms of reliability and is recommended by Consumer Reports. Refinement, noise reduction, improved efficiency, distinctive styling and enhanced safety were all emphasized by Chevrolet when developing the 2007 Chevy Tahoe.

?Best Redesigned Vehicle? for 2007 goes to Chevy Silverado, says Kelly Blue Book

Amid over 40 vehicles that were redesigned this year, the 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup truck emerged as Kelly Blue Book?s ?Best Redesigned Vehicle.? Based on improvements in steering, braking, handling, ride comfort, power delivery, towing capacity and fuel economy, KBB felt confident in applying the distinction to Chevy?s new full-size pickup truck this year.

A variety of factors are considered before a winner may be crowned, including exterior styling, interior design, comfort and convenience, technology, driving dynamics, fuel economy, safety, power, value and market significance. Chevy?s Silverado is a crucial vehicle under the General Motors umbrella, as the full-size truck segment represents a major marketplace in North America.

Past winners of the Kelly Blue Book award include the Honda Civic (2006), Ford Mustang (2005) and Ford F-150 (2004).
